Description
Produced on site from local plums and aged in toasted oak whisky casks and mixed with whisky that has been matured in plum liqueur casks, Suntory Yamazaki Premium Umeshu possesses fragrant aromas and the rich, well-rounded flavour of plums, almonds and dried fruits, without the use of additional colourings or additives. Normally only available in Kyoto, this ume (plum) liqueur is very popular during summer in Japan.
Nose: An aroma of stone fruits, almonds and dried apricots.
Palate: A refined mouth feel with the fruity sweetness of plums, almonds, apricots and dried fruits with notes of Yamazaki malt.
Finish: The impression of ex whisky barrels delivers some vanilla and woody notes to the finish.
