Description
This distinctive whisky is a vatting of several malts finished in red wine casks, rich with elegant berry and dark chocolate notes. Non-chill filtered and with no colouring added.
Tasting Notes
Nose: Reminiscent of a fine sherry cask Scotch (think Macallan 18), Marmalade, figs, oak, chocolate, and rich mahogany.
Palate: Reminiscent of a fine sherry cask Scotch (think Macallan 18), Marmalade, figs, oak, chocolate, and rich mahogany.
Finish: Pepper, marmalade, raisins. Kind of bittersweet. Quite long, with hot spices on the palate and then butter menthol.
